What's the difference between mass and weight?
Mass is an intrinsic property — the amount of matter in an object — and never changes regardless of location. Weight is the force gravity exerts on that mass, which does change depending on where you are (see the separate Weight Calculator for that).
What is a 'stone' as a unit?
A traditional British and Irish unit equal to 14 pounds, still commonly used there for body weight — "12 stone" is a familiar way to express roughly 168 pounds or 76 kilograms.
